This is a workbench we build in Hard Maple. This Bench has very fine vise hardware from Benchcrafted. The Leg vise on the Front has an adjustable pin to keep it from racking when clamping. The Wagon vise has square dog holes, the sliding dead-man supports work anywhere along the length of the bench, and the removable shelf below adds storage space. The jaws of the vises are lined with leather to grip without marring. In the center of the bench is a removable block we call a stop gap, it has slots to allow storage of chisels or saws upright, and then can be flipped over to use as a clamping stop.
